Jo Hamilton Interiors works on homes across London, Sussex and the wider UK, from family houses and apartments to weekend retreats and full renovations. Whether it’s a Hampstead villa, a Kensington mansion, a Brighton townhouse or a country house in the Home Counties, each project is approached with the same calm, modern-classic sensibility and meticulous attention to detail. Based between London and Chichester, our studio creates interiors that feel welcoming and lived-in, with carefully considered layouts, intelligent storage and beautifully balanced colour and texture. We work closely with our clients, their architects and contractors, offering as much or as little support as each project needs – from early space planning and finishes through to bespoke joinery, FF&E and final styling. WHERE WE WORK
We’re often asked how far we travel. In practice, we follow our clients and their homes rather than drawing hard lines on a map. Over the years, projects have taken us right across London; south through Surrey and the Home Counties to the Sussex coastline; west to Winchester and the Dorset coast around Sandbanks; and north to Oxfordshire, Cheshire and beyond. We’re always happy to discuss locations further afield if the brief is right.
The locations listed on these pages are intended to give just a flavour of the areas where we have worked or do regularly work, and how our approach responds to different types of homes – from mansion flats and mews houses to coastal properties and country estates.
LONDON
London is at the heart of our work. We design interiors for houses and apartments in neighbourhoods such as Hampstead, Belsize Park, Primrose Hill, St John’s Wood, Kensington, Chelsea and Holland Park, and across North, West and Central London. Many of these homes are lived in every day as well as used for entertaining, so we focus on creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical – with thoughtful planning, relaxed but luxurious finishes and lighting schemes that can shift from daytime to evening.
SUSSEX & THE SOUTH COAST
From our base in Chichester we work throughout Sussex, including Chichester and its harbour villages, the South Downs and coastal locations such as Brighton and Hove. These projects often call for a slightly softer, more relaxed mood – calm, light-filled rooms, natural materials and durable finishes that suit family life, weekend guests and the easy rhythm of coastal or country living.

We regularly take on projects in the Home Counties and elsewhere in the UK, particularly where clients are looking for a cohesive, carefully considered scheme and would like the benefit of a single studio overseeing the details.
